How to Beat Giant Piranha
Turn three Leeches into boss bait, control the swarm, defeat the second major boss, and finish the hand-in that opens your route forward.

Get the Modified Leech first
The Giant Piranha does not appear as a normal free-roaming enemy. Its encounter follows the Island 2 forest quest:

Collect three Leeches
Find the three ground pickups in the Island 2 forest. They are not caught with a fishing rod.

Return to the quest giver
Hand in the full 3/3 objective to receive the Modified Leech used for the boss sequence.

Prepare before casting
The encounter begins as soon as the boss is brought in, so equip your weapon, restore health, and organize your inventory first.

What to bring to the fight
A shotgun is a commonly recommended, comfortable option for the boss at close range. Use the strongest ranged choice you can reliably handle.
Restore health before starting and carry cooked fish or another available recovery option for mistakes during the fight.
Leave room to pick up the Skeleton after the boss dies. The drop is needed to complete the progression hand-in.
Fight where you can circle and sidestep. Avoid trapping yourself against the shoreline or clutter.

How to start the Giant Piranha fight
Equip the Modified Leech as bait, cast into the Island 2 lake, and reel in the encounter from shore. Once the Giant Piranha comes onto land, switch immediately from fishing to movement and damage.
Start from shore with enough open ground to kite the boss and its smaller piranhas.

How to beat Giant Piranha

Move sideways when it lunges
Do not simply backpedal in a straight line. Sidestep the boss's forward attacks, then turn and fire while the path is clear.

Create a firing lane
Remove nearby small piranhas when they block movement or surround you. You do not need to chase every add across the arena.

Keep damage on the main boss
The white encounter bar acts as an escape timer. Spending the entire fight cleaning up the swarm can let the Giant Piranha get away.

Heal while repositioning
Create distance before using recovery items. Standing still beside the boss to heal can trade one problem for another.

Collect the quest drop
After the kill, find and pick up the Giant Piranha Skeleton before leaving the area.
05 · Troubleshooting
Why the fight keeps failing
Shift more attention from the small piranhas to the boss. Clear only the adds that stop you moving or aiming.
Keep circling through open ground and remove the closest adds before the group closes your route.
Do not stand still to line up perfect shots. Favor steady movement and shorter damage windows.
Killing the boss is not the final step. Pick up the Skeleton and return it to the Island 2 quest giver.

Return the Skeleton to continue
Take the Giant Piranha Skeleton back to the quest giver connected to the Leech request. Completing this hand-in provides the coordinates needed for the route toward Island 3.
